Job Summary

The senior financial analyst will report directly to the VP of finance and support a variety of areas as MPS continues to grow. A successful candidate will be able to provide high quality management and reporting of data, analyze trends, make recommendations. Strong advanced system skills, communication, and the ability to work cross functionally are critical.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Forecasting, reporting, and analysis for the overall company financials.
    • Support the implementation of new system and automation approaches to drive efficiency and scale for our financial processes.
    • Coordinate with the Director of FP&A and other team members to perform revenue and spending analysis.
    • Support monthly close, analyze monthly results, provide variance explanations.
    • Support product line analysis as well as various strategic initiatives as defined by the VP of Finance.
    • Cross-train with other members of the FPA team on various financial processes.
  • Investor Relations Support
    • Support Earnings cycle, call backs and NDR coordination.
    • Manage investor database and tools.
    • Source new investor leads and investor targeting at the firm/fund level.
    • Peer and industry tracking.
    • Compile consensus data.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required.

MBA or CPA is preferred.

Five to seven years of demonstrated responsibility and knowledge of the planning and forecasting function in a high technology company.

Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, processes, model building, accounting, and reporting.

Proficiency in one or more data analysis and visualization tools, such as: Power BI, Tableau, Python, Alteryx, SQL (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) as well as advanced Excel skills.

Experience with data warehousing, database management and/or data modeling.

Experience with Enterprise Financial Forecasting Tools (Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan, Planful).

Strong desire and willingness to learn.

Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.

Strong communication and influencing skills with business partners and peers at all levels of the organization.

Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to quickly and effectively take direction from management.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $110,000 - $130,000.
