Sr. Field Service Representative - Power/Electrical (Finance)

For this U.S.-based position, the expected compensation range is $80,640 - $120,960 per year, including base pay and short-term incentive.

The salary range applies to candidates within the United States. Compensation is determined based on role responsibility, experience, skills, education, and performance. Our Field Service Representatives play a vital role by collaborating with customers, team members, and third-party partners to perform assembly, startup, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment across various environments. They are problem solvers, customer-focused, passionate, and the future of Schneider Electric.

We provide all necessary training, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops for daily work.

This is a site-based role with occasional nonstandard hours, guaranteed 40 hours plus overtime, primarily at customer sites.

The position focuses on servicing power distribution and critical power infrastructure equipment.

Typical daily tasks include:

  • Pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications
  • Problem solving with customers and team members
  • Completing reports and data sheets
  • Resolving escalated issues with management support
  • Ongoing product training and development

Additional responsibilities may involve:

  • Travel within the region or nationwide, including overnight stays
  • Supporting larger system startups and projects
  • Collaborating with teams on complex projects
  • Representing the District Service Manager in operational matters

Ideal candidates will have:

  • An Associate's degree, vocational certification, military training, or similar experience in electrical disciplines
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Strong understanding of AC/DC power principles and components
  • 5-7+ years' experience in field service, particularly with UPS systems, power distribution, switchgear, and related equipment
  • Knowledge of safety practices, NFPA-70E or OSHA preferred
  • Good driving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and write service reports
  • Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks and work outdoors in various conditions
