Yorktel is currently seeking a Senior Field Engineer who will focus on a fast-paced, high-volume production and engineering environment. The Senior Field Engineer is responsible for meeting project commitments (both financial and non-financial) and ensuring the overall quality of external customer service. Responsibilities include strategic and operational planning within the field engineering departments, monitoring project performance, financial analysis including job cost monitoring and reporting, staff training, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot issues, make recommendations, and ensure resolution in collaboration with the team.
- Communicate complex technical issues clearly and respond to detailed inquiries.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Provide technical support to the sales team promptly and comprehensively.
- Interface with clients and job sites to document requirements and conditions.
- Design customer solutions based on requirements and site conditions.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and staff throughout the design and delivery process.
- Develop Statements of Work based on system designs and customer needs.
- Create system design diagrams, specifications, and operational narratives.
- Estimate project costs accurately.
- Respond technically to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Adhere to company standards and interpret technical documents correctly.
- Create Scope of Work documents reflecting solutions and limitations.
- Present solutions to executive audiences.
- Participate in transition activities from pre-sales to implementation.
- Develop and test solutions in lab environments.
- Analyze customer networks for visual communication needs.
- Support special projects as needed.
- Research technical issues involving network and AV equipment.
- Collaborate with vendors on current and future technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar tools.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of video network infrastructure.
- Certifications such as Polycom/Tandberg/Cisco (TCE/CVE) and InfoComm CTS (advanced CTS-D) are desirable.

Education & Experience:
- A degree in audio engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Certifications in AV systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX) are beneficial.
- Extensive experience with AV equipment, systems, and troubleshooting.
- Experience leading technician teams and managing projects.
- Strong communication skills and client engagement experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Regular sitting, standing, and walking.
- Occasional weekend or night work.
- Domestic and international travel with multi-night stays.
- Valid passport and U.S. driver’s license.
- Willingness to undergo background checks, drug tests, and security clearances.
