The ideal candidate must be located on the Southern East Coast near a major airport.
What you will accomplish together with us:
- Provide exceptional customer care and build positive relationships with customers
- Provide technical support to customers in case of issues
- Coordinate workflow with the schedule to minimize unnecessary travel. Travel to customers by ground, train, and air transportation as needed
- Provide training to customers on the essential use and operation of Bio Analytics instruments
- Perform field service, calibration, and installation of complex mechanical systems, and carry out preventative maintenance and field sterilizations
- Assist with resolving IT issues related to Bio Analytics system installations, follow all company procedures and perform software updates/upgrades
- Draft documentation of processes and procedures as required
- Keep accurate records via written and paper forms, including a precise count of parts assigned to the engineer
- Produce timely, accurate, and detailed service reports and prepare customer-facing estimates of repairs
- Pass along identified leads to the sales manager
- Travel to our facilities and sites in Ann Arbor, MI, Fremont, CA, and others for training and conferences as needed
- Support up to 90% overnight travel within the greater eastern region of NA and additional areas of NA
- Lift items weighing up to 35 kg
What Will Convince Us:
- Associate's degree in engineering or military training certifications, or 5+ years of proven field service experience
- 3+ years of field service experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment with excellent mechanical, electrical, and IT skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency with MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
