Job summary

Revvity Signals is seeking a Field Application Scientist in Boston to drive sales success by partnering with the Sales team, delivering technical demonstrations, leading proof-of-concept studies, and ensuring smooth handover to services and support. You will provide technical input to product enhancements and customer engagement strategies.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry or STEM, 3+ years lab experience, and comfort with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Formulations, Cheminformatics or STEM disciplines.
• 3+ years of lab experience in research or industry, with strong understanding of synthetic chemistry.
• 3+ years’ experience in polymer/formulation chemistry is a plus.
• 3+ years’ experience with relevant scientific and informatics solutions, including ChemDraw.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to drive customer engagements and solution adoption.
• Conduct discoveries to identify customer needs and requirements.
• Design and execute custom software demonstrations for pre-sales.
• Lead pre-sales activities such as POCs, pilots, workshops, and product-area evaluations.
• Assist with responses to RFIs/RFPs for the product area.
• Provide strategic insights to product management and marketing from customer feedback and trends.
• Support customer demonstrations as needed in the territory.

Job Overview: As a Field Application Scientist at Revvity Signals, you will be instrumental in driving sales success by closely collaborating with our sales team to navigate opportunities from initiation to close. Your responsibilities include crafting and presenting product demonstrations, overseeing proof of concept processes, and ensuring seamless handover to our professional services and customer support teams. This role also involves contributing technical insights to support product enhancement and improve customer engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with representatives of the Sales organization to achieve customer engagements that drive the adoption of our solutions.
• Conduct thorough discoveries to identify customer needs and requirements.
• Design and execute custom/highly configured software demonstrations in support of pre-sales activities.
• Conduct pre-sales activities such as POCs, pilots, workshops, and evaluations specific to the product area.
• Assist with responses to RFIs/RFPs related to the product area.
• Supplemental support of canned demonstrations as required in the territory.
• Provide strategic insights to product management and product marketing based on customer feedback and market trends to guide product development and market positioning.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry, Formulations, Cheminformatics or STEM disciplines.
• 3+ years of lab experience in research or industry. Strong understanding of synthetic chemistry required.
• 3+ years' experience in polymer/formulation chemistry is a plus.
• 3+ years' experience with relevant scientific and informatics solutions, including ChemDraw,

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSs or PHD degree in Organic Chemistry, Formulations, Cheminformatics or STEM disciplines.
• Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) and analytics platforms like Spotfire is highly desirable.
• Strong experience with scripting languages and RESTful APIs desirable.
• Strong skills in communication and presentation, capable of effectively conveying a solution value.
• Highly customer-oriented with the ability to engage with clients at all levels, conduct demonstrations and solution proof of concepts.
• Open to travel to customer sites and conferences, with travel expectations of 30-40%.
• Previous customer-facing experience is a plus.

The pay range for this full-time position is a salary $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 USD Annually. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The pay offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
