Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mechanical project engineering within a manufacturing environment with equipment commissioning and facility expansion.
• Capital equipment installation experience is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor design software is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems in a diverse industrial environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with facility infrastructure systems is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; ITAR compliance and US person status may apply.

• Oversee CapEx and production equipment installation projects from inception to completion.
• Specify new production equipment and modifications to existing equipment.
• Develop functional specifications and contract scope of work documents, including cost estimates.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors on procurement and implementation of production equipment and infrastructure support.
• Test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure contract specifications are met.
• Provide maintenance engineering and troubleshooting assistance.
• Oversee contractor work and monitor safe work practices.

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Facilities Project Engineer job in Hampton, VA for our client, a growing aerospace and industrial products manufacturer. The Facilities Project Engineer will apply engineering principles to design, modify, and develop facilities, machinery, and equipment to advance technology and productivity within a manufacturing environment. The position will manage capital and expense projects, including developing scopes and budgets, maintaining schedules, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Candidates must bring capital equipment installation experience, as testing and implementing newly installed machines and equipment is a core function of this role.

The salary range for this position is $110000 to $140,000 plus a 5% bonus, excellent benefits that start on day one, including a robust 401K plan, multiple medical insurance plans, and more. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

• Ability to rapidly grasp concepts, understand processes, and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
