Job summary

Emerge is recruiting for a direct-hire Facilities Mechanical Engineer in Winsted, CT. You’ll oversee plant facilities and equipment maintenance, plan and implement capital projects, and lead the maintenance team to optimise operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of maintenance engineering supervisory experience in manufacturing.

ITAR compliance and U.S. work authorization are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; candidates without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on related experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of facility functions including equipment installations, plant layouts, and service functions.
• Plan, design, and facilitate capital projects and analyze costs, space, and technical requirements.
• Provide leadership to the maintenance team; assign workflows and ensure safety compliance.
• Analyze proposals and processes to support long-range planning; supply technical data on manufacturing techniques and materials.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform cost estimating, and test machinery to meet specifications.
