Job description

About the Role

Ready to lead with impact? Join CBRE as a Senior Facilities Manager, where you will lead operations at one of the client's largest and most high-profile locations. This role oversees approximately 500,000 square feet of office space across two buildings, representing the second-largest site in the client's portfolio. Based on site, you will work closely alongside our client supporting a workplace that includes executive presence and requires a polished, high-touch approach to service delivery. This role offers strong visibility and regular engagement with senior stakeholders. In this position, you will drive operational excellence and a hospitality-focused employee experience, managing day-to-day facility operations, maintenance, and compliance. You will collaborate with property management and vendors while ensuring a seamless, professional environment that meets the needs of a dynamic and high-performing workforce. This is more than facilities management-it's an opportunity to deliver impactful workplace solutions in a flagship environment while building trusted partnerships with key client stakeholders.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and coordinate facility repairs and maintenance by partnering with technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service.
  • Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular meetings to address and resolve facility-related concerns.
  • Plan, prepare, and manage large-scale and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports with precision and strategic oversight.
  • Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, repairs, and upgrades, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Develop and enforce environmental health and safety procedures tailored to each facility’s needs.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, oversee invoicing processes, and review and approve purchase orders for parts, services, and labor.
  • Apply broad business and technical knowledge to align facilities operations with departmental goals and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide formal supervision to staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, training, and development planning.
  • Manage daily team operations by setting work schedules, assigning tasks, cross-training staff, and tracking departmental deadlines.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting CBRE’s RISE values and influencing others through leadership and collaboration.
  • Solve complex technical and operational challenges with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Recognize and address the broader impact of decisions across the department, driving continuous improvement in methods, processes, and standards.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Facility Management certification (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in budget management, including accruals, deferrals, and variance reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in staffing, training, development, coaching, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex and sensitive information clearly and effectively, while setting expectations and resolving challenges.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and align operational goals across roles and functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, curious mindset.
  • Solid understanding of financial and operational math, including percentages, fractions, and other calculations.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
