• Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, and pricing.
• Oversee all capital bids before submission.
• Delegate new customer opportunities within estimating team.
• Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals and assemble final owner estimate.
• Drive and maintain National Opportunities Reporting.
• Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates and data comparisons between projects.
• Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during bidding; maintain subcontractor/vendor lists.
• Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Exceed expectations with customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
• Maintain company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors in a high-volume bid environment.

Keeley Construction is looking to hire a Sr Estimator for our Heavy Civil Group in New Braunfels, TX.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, as well as development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing.
• Oversee all capital bids before submission.
• Delegate new customer opportunities within estimating team.
• Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, and assembling final estimate for owner.
• Drive and maintain all National Opportunities Reporting.
• Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
• Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade.
• Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Exceed expectations with excellent customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
• Maintain company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors while performing in a high-volume bid environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 5-7 years of experience performing primary responsibilities listed above.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and Word, along with estimating software.
• Demonstrated experience with heavy civil construction projects, specifically water/wastewater treatment plants and process piping.
• Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with staff, vendors, and clients.
• Exceptional time management and customer relation skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to assist with writing proposals and reports.
