Job summary

Keeley Construction Group is seeking a Senior Estimator for our Heavy Civil Group in Dallas, TX. You will lead estimates, coordinate trades, review takeoffs, and develop competitive bids for water/wastewater and related projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 5–7 years of heavy civil estimating experience, with strong Excel/Outlook/Word skills and proficiency in estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, and development/review of takeoffs and pricing.
• Oversee all capital bids before submission.
• Delegate new customer opportunities within estimating team.
• Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, and assemble final estimate for owner.
• Drive and maintain all National Opportunities Reporting.
• Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates and cost data across projects.
• Negotiate with subcontractors during bidding and manage master subcontractor/vendor lists.
• Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Exceed expectations with customer service and operational excellence.

Keeley Construction is looking to hire a Sr Estimator for our Heavy Civil Group in Dallas, TX.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, as well as development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing.
• Oversee all capital bids before submission.
• Delegate new customer opportunities within estimating team.
• Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, and assembling final estimate for owner.
• Drive and maintain all National Opportunities Reporting.
• Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
• Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade.
• Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Exceed expectations with excellent customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
• Maintain company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors while performing in a high-volume bid environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 5-7 years of experience performing primary responsibilities listed above.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and Word, along with estimating software.
• Demonstrated experience with heavy civil construction projects, specifically water/wastewater treatment plants and process piping.
• Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with staff, vendors, and clients.
• Exceptional time management and customer relation skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to assist with writing proposals and reports.
