Job summary

Newrez LLC is seeking an Sr Escrow Data Analyst to support Escrow Management (Loan Administration) by overseeing automated reports, troubleshooting errors, and improving aged reports. The role includes training new analysts, creating process documents, and acting as the escrow data SME.

The position requires on-site work, with collaboration across teams to identify analytic needs and implement end-to-end reporting solutions using SQL and Excel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • 5+ years’ data warehousing, analytics, and reporting experience.
  • 2+ years’ residential mortgage loan servicing experience.
  • Strong Excel and SQL (SSMS and SSRS) proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to-day reporting functions for the Escrow group, including managing projects for troubleshooting and enhancements.
  • Partner with business unit/management to identify analytic needs and develop end-to-end processes.

Primary Function

The Sr Escrow Data Analyst will assist Escrow Management (Loan Administration) with overseeing the day-to-day functionality of automated reports, which includes responsibility for troubleshooting errors, enhancing aged reports, identifying control gaps, as well as providing training to newly hired Escrow Data Analysts.

Principal Duties
  • Oversees the day-to-day reporting functions for the Escrow group, including managing projects for troubleshooting and enhancements.
  • Partner with the business unit and/or management team to identify analytic needs and develop end to end process flows.
  • Lead projects from requirement gathering to completion, including monitoring progress to ensure project goals are achieved timely.
  • Utilize SQL as query languages to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Create and maintain documentation of reporting, end user processes, and training materials.
  • Provide training to new hires regarding how to maintain and update queries as needed.
  • Be a subject matter expert of escrow data fields, bulk production reporting, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Performs other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • 5+ years’ data warehousing, analytics, and reporting experience.
  • 2+ years’ residential mortgage loan servicing experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High learning agility with the ability to learn and integrate business variables.
  • Expert knowledge with Microsoft Excel and SQL (SSMS and SSRS).
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong project leadership capability.
  • High degree of business acumen; strong technical aptitude.
  • Strong analytical skills & problem-solving abilities; solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment.
