Pay Rate: $22.90/hr. - $28.62/hr.

Sign-On Incentive: $2,000 (50% paid after first pay period, 50% after 6 months)

Heavy Equipment Operation Requirements:

• CDL Class A
• Experience with water utility construction and field service jobs

Fort Worth Water is hiring Senior Equipment Operators to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include operating heavy machinery, maintaining pipelines, and emergency response.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience
• Pass a hands-on equipment test
• Valid Texas Class A CDL with good driving record
• Ability to obtain TCEQ Class D Water/Wastewater License within 12 months
• Availability for overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call
• Pass drug, physical, and background checks
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years in utility repair, construction, or maintenance
• Experience in water or wastewater utilities
• Knowledge of safety and work zone setup
• Leadership or supervisory experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cranes, bulldozers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment
• Install and repair water and wastewater pipelines
• Operate valves, assist in construction, locate buried pipelines, clear obstructions
• Set up job sites, conduct inspections, collaborate on safety

Physical & Working Conditions: Exerting up to 100 pounds, exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, extreme weather, noise, and workspace restrictions.
