HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job description

This is a full-time role where the individual is responsible for operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, or grader machines at construction sites.

What it takes:

• Manipulating the equipment to move and place materials.
• Inspecting machines.
• Performing basic repairs.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is helpful.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Job Tasks:

• Load and unload equipment from vehicles used to transport it.
• Inspect the equipment before and after use to ensure it is in good working order.
• Drive and control equipment to complete tasks at the construction site.
• Monitor performance of the equipment - adjust settings as needed to perform tasks correctly.
• Track maintenance schedules and notify supervisors if maintenance is overdue.
• Fill out performance records to report equipment problems and usage.
• Clean equipment and handle any minor repairs after use.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay: $24.00 to $32.00 per hour based on experience.
