Job summary

Oryx Advanced Materials Inc. seeks a hands-on Sr. Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment and facility systems in excellent condition.

You will combine mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting with proactive maintenance planning and vendor coordination. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance scheduling, troubleshooting tools and utilities, coordinating downtime, and installation of new tools.

Qualifications

  • College degree/diploma in mechanical/mechatronics, electrical/electronics or similar field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations.
  • Excellence in communications and project management skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting tools and repairs.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute preventive maintenance schedules and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production tools, utilities, and support systems.
  • Coordinate machine downtime, repairs, and maintenance windows with production teams.
  • Work directly with equipment vendors, service providers, and repair shops to ensure timely support and parts availability.
