Job Overview

The full stack Sr Engineer will work with a team of other software engineers to design, implement, and deploy complete systems which meet customer's requirements and are cloud native. The Sr Engineer will focus on creation, maintenance and enhancement of full stack software solutions that typically include front end web frameworks, back end services, micro services, databases, and all associated cloud infrastructure required to deploy and maintain the solution. Responsible for creating, deploying and supporting a full software solution. Expected to be broad in the range of their knowledge as a generalist across the full software stack.

Job Responsibilities

1. Create full stack web solutions including both the back end and front end
2. Code Review and mentoring of other team members
3. Create / build scheduled jobs and micro-services defining new patterns and orchestrations
4. Create / implement data storage mechanisms using relational and non-relational data stores
5. Use and configure cloud services using infrastructure as code.
6. Recommend new cloud services and patterns
7. Present new ideas which improve an existing system/process/service.
8. Present new ideas which utilize new frameworks to improve an existing system/process/service
9. Collaborate with team to break down features into user stories and estimate them
10. Continuously learn new technologies.
11. Offer and communicate ideas and opinions effectively.
12. Learn and adapt to technologies being used.
13. Be aware of the technology roadmap.
14. Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging engineering practices

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Required)

Work Experience

• 5+ years full stack web development experience including front end and back end (Required)
• 5+ years designing database schemas, writing SQL (Required)
• 2+ years DevOps with infrastructure as code (Required)
• 3+ years using cloud services from AWS, Azure or GCP (Required)
• 4+ years software engineering experience (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Setup a completely new full stack environment from scratch including build steps and backend infrastructure (Required)
• Knowledge of html, css, webpack, JavaScript, at least one front end framework and one backend framework (Required)
• Understand web protocols, how full stack applications operate and data flows (Required)
• Understand database modeling and SQL. Capable of performance tuning and refactoring from one data store to another (Required)

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $114,200 - $206,000

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
