Job summary

Nintendo Technology Development in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced platform software and device drivers engineer to design and develop software for current and future gaming consoles. You will contribute to low-level driver development for complex hardware and ensure robust performance across platforms.

Applicants must be U.S. eligible to work; visa sponsorship is not available. This onsite role offers a base pay range and comprehensive benefits in Redmond.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing device driver software for complex SoCs.
  • 5+ years of experience developing multithreaded software.
  • Profiessional experience developing low-level software in C or C++.
  • Experience with PCI Express (PCIe) architecture and protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with low-level device driver concepts, including DMA, interrupts, DMA cache coherency, and memory ordering.
  • Experience using PCIe protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and similar tools for hardware debug and validation.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Design and develop platform software and device drivers for current and future gaming consoles.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience developing device driver software for complex SoCs.
  • 5+ years of experience developing multithreaded software.
  • Professional experience developing low-level software in C or C++.
  • Experience with PCI Express (PCIe) architecture and protocols.

This position is onsite in Redmond,WA, and not open to remote status at this time. This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi‑annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Pay Range: $145,150—$261,200USD
