The Ladders seeks a Senior Data Engineer in the United States to build and evolve scalable data infrastructure supporting analytics, data quality, and business decision-making. You will partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions across a modern cloud environment, with an emphasis on GenAI/LLM interfaces and standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Proven expertise in building natural language interfaces and GenAI/LLM techniques.
• Experience with analytical data warehouses such as StarRocks, Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Expert SQL skills for writing, optimizing, and analyzing queries.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP for distributed data platforms.
• Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka and Spark.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouse models.
• Develop natural language interfaces enabling data analytics access using GenAI/LLM techniques.
• Use GenAI coding tools in development workflows to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Evaluate new technologies to scale the data platform effectively.
• Establish and enforce SQL development standards, including testing and documentation protocols.
• Support production data pipelines through on-call duties and incident response.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and document the technology stack.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (US) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building and evolving scalable data infrastructure that supports analytics, data quality, and business decision-making. The Senior Data Engineer will partner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions across a modern cloud environment. This position also involves advancing natural language access to data through GenAI/LLM techniques and helping strengthen standards for development, testing, and operational support.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with large-scale distributed systems, analytical data warehouses, and streaming technologies, along with strong SQL and cloud platform expertise.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $155,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouse models that improve data quality and business value
• Develop natural language interfaces that enable easier access to data analytics using GenAI/LLM techniques
