Summary of the Job:

FNTS, with over 20 years in managed IT services, provides customized hosted and remotely managed services from a state-of-the-art data center. We are seeking a Mainframe Senior Engineer to maintain customer environments, resolve technical issues, and support system migrations and upgrades. Candidates should have experience with z Series systems, Virtual Tape, and Mainframe connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reporting functions and support incident resolution
• Install, maintain, and configure ISV products
• Assist with hardware upgrades and configurations
• Support customer migrations with minimal impact
• Document systems and assist with new technology implementations
• Participate in infrastructure projects as the Mainframe SME
• Provide after-hours support as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Experience as a Mainframe Systems Engineer
• Knowledge of z/OS, JES2, WLM, RACF, CICS, IMS, DB2, MQ Series, and related technologies
• Experience with hardware, storage management, OS upgrades, and automation tools
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of z/VSE, z/VM, DS8000, TS7700, virtual tape systems, and mirroring technologies

Compensation:

Range: $88,067 - $145,309. Final offer based on experience and skills.
