Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Sr. Employee Relations Consultant for a Houston, TX contract (6+ months) with hybrid work options. Pay ranges from $40 to $50 per hour DOE. Hours are standard business M-F, with flexible scheduling as needed.

Ideal candidates have extensive knowledge of EEO, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, and related laws, including ADA as Amended and PWFA. Superior communication and coaching skills are essential for a fast-paced, high-volume caseload.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of EEO laws, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA and related regulations.
• ADA (as Amended), PWFA knowledge and accommodation requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to present and document clearly.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience training and coaching non-HR professionals in practical terms.

Position: Sr. Employee Relations Consultant

Location: Houston, TX

Employment: Contract (6+ months)

Hours: M-F 8-5pm (hybrid opportunity)

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 / hour DOE

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Description/Qualifications:

• Must have extensive knowledge of legal requirements and regulatory frameworks, including but not limited to and EEO related laws, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, performance management, investigations, and attendance.
• Must have knowledge of the ADA (as Amended), PWFA, and related accommodation laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver articulate presentations, facilitate difficult conversations, and write defensible, objective case summaries.
• Have capability to work completely autonomously in a fast-paced environment, balancing a high volume of complex cases while maintaining exceptional flexibility, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to work completely autonomously, balancing a heavy and emotionally sensitive caseload while maintaining high flexibility and exceptional organizational skills.
• Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a specialized ability to guide difficult conversations and build trust among highly diverse stakeholders.
• Previous experience and able to train, mentor, and coach non-HR professionals, breaking down rigid regulatory concepts into simple, practical, and highly engaging learning experiences.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• At least 5 years of human resources experience (2 of which are in employee relations)
