What You Get to Do:

1. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
2. Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
3. Use advanced estimating software and tools to prepare comprehensive bids and proposals.
4. Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure the most competitive pricing and quality.
5. Provide strategic input during pre-construction meetings to ensure projects are set up for success.
6. Continuously monitor industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain accurate and competitive estimates.
7. Support business development efforts by preparing estimates for prospective projects and collaborating with the sales team.

What You've Already Done:

1. Gained hands-on experience as an electrical estimator, ideally with commercial and industrial projects.
2. Developed a solid understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and cost analysis.
3. Proven your ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
4. Built strong relationships with suppliers and clients through effective communication and negotiation.
5. Mastered estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar tools, and have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
