Job description

Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer – Production Hardware (Tucson, AZ)

What You Will Do
  • Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog, and RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve and document concurrence, and resolve issues during production, testing, and integration.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, and preparation of detailed technical team reports and proposal support.
  • Support development and sustainment activities of airborne electrical products throughout the product lifecycle.
What You Will Learn
  • Knowledge of various electrical components, Circuit Card Assemblies, RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis.
  • Achievement of RTX Core Certification and Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) training.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design.
  • Experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed‑signal circuit design or analysis, and/or digital signal processing.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.
  • Knowledge of missile communication transceivers, data links, inertial measurement units (IMU), and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver subsystems.
  • Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, seeker/sensor, or electronic subsystem, including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, PCB fabrication, circuit card assembly processes, and related industry specifications.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, and signal and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience with root‑cause corrective action investigations, subsystems integration and test, post‑test flight analysis, problem investigation, SPC methods for production yield improvement, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementation of Engineering Change Notices.
  • Self‑starter capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team.
