Job description

Electrical Engineer II – Production Hardware

This role is located in Tucson, AZ. It requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. The position is for an onsite employee working primarily in the 2nd shift (3pm–12am) with less than 10% annual travel. Relocation is eligible.

Responsibilities
  • Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog and/or RF hardware; test and debug complex circuit card assemblies or electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to document concurrence and resolve issues arising during production, testing, and integration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field and a minimum of 2years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed‑signal circuit design or analysis and/or digital signal processing.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.
  • Knowledge of electrical components, Circuit Card Assemblies, and mixed‑signal circuit design or analysis.
  • Self‑starter capable of working independently as well as within a small technical team.
  • Skills in technical oversight, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical reports, and proposal support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Root‑Cause Corrective Action investigations experience.
  • Electrical engineering design of CCA/EO/RF/Seeker/Sensor or electronic subsystem, including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and supplier support, test automation scripting, and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Familiarity with missile communication transceivers, data links, IMUs, and GPS receiver subsystems.
  • Subsystem integration and test, post‑test flight analysis, problem investigation, SPC methods for yield improvement, technical writing, formal presentation, and Engineering Change Notice implementation.
