This Sr. Electrical Engineer – Production Hardware role in Tucson, AZ drives program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle and provides resources to drive development and sustainment activities of airborne electrical products.
What You Will Do
- Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog and/or RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro‑mechanical systems. Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
- Travel requirements: < 10% annually.
What You Will Learn
- Gain knowledge of various electrical components, Circuit Card Assemblies, RF, analog, digital and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis.
- Achieve an RTX Core Certification and receive Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Training.
Qualifications (What You Must Have)
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and/or digital signal processing.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.
- U.S. government security clearance eligibility as described in the overview.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
- Experience designing and supporting CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystems; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support; test automation scripting, test conduction, and sensor control.
- Experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar.
- Familiarity with missile communication transceivers, data links, IMU, GPS receiver subsystems, and subsystems integration and test.
- Strong technical writing, presentation, and Engineering Change Notice implementation skills.
