Job summary

Teoresi Inc in San Francisco seeks an experienced electrical engineer to design and integrate electrical systems for automotive and commercial vehicles. responsibilities include wiring harness development, creating schematics and BOMs, and supporting prototyping, testing, and validation.

You will work with CAN/J1939/LIN/Ethernet and collaborate with suppliers and validation teams, applying DFM/DFS and VE principles in configurable vehicle platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical
• 5+ years of engineering experience in power distribution architecture and system design
• Experience with EMC
• Experience with automotive, commercial, or heavy-duty vehicle electrical systems
• Knowledge of EMC, wiring harnesses, BOM management, electrical CAD, and vehicle diagnostics
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and components, ensuring manufacturability and proper routing
• Create and maintain schematics, BOMs, harness drawings, and technical documentation using Zuken E3, Capital, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar tools
• Support prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting using CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
• Perform electrical load analysis and power management for 12/24V and 600V+ systems
• Work with CAN, J1939, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols
• Collaborate with suppliers, testing teams, and validation engineers
• Apply DFM, DFS, and Value Engineering principles
• Work in highly configurable or customer-customized vehicle platforms

We are looking for an:

to support the design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for automotive, commercial, and heavy-duty vehicles.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and components, ensuring manufacturability and proper routing

• Knowledge of EMC, wiring harnesses, BOM management, electrical CAD, and vehicle diagnostics
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Profile Completes:

• Circuit protection, fuse sizing, and grounding strategies
• Configure-to-order / modular BOM experience is a plus
• 600V+ high-voltage systems experience is highly desirable
• Knowledge of SAE, NFPA, and ISO standards is a plus
