Job summary

An international engineering group is seeking a Diagnostic & Testing Engineer to support vehicle system failures analysis. The position involves hands-on work with ECU interfaces and CAN diagnostics, requiring a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, along with 2-5 years of experience. Job description

Overview

We are always looking for new talents and highly specialized professionals, more specifically for:

Diagnostic & Testing Engineer

to support root cause analysis of vehicle system failures, mainly related to Electrical, Powertrain, and Hybrid systems. The role involves daily work on ECU interfaces, CAN diagnostics, DTC analysis, and interaction with test benches and real vehicles.

Position

International HR Specialist @ Teoresi Group | Psychologist

Responsibilities
  • Perform DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) analysis and interpretation.
  • Use CANalyzer, CANcase, CDA tools to analyze CAN network behavior.
  • Coordinate with Design Responsible Engineers (DRE) to escalate component issues.
  • Support sensor and actuator testing (e.g., Camshaft, Crankshaft, Thermostat).
  • Analyze technical documentation and CDD (Component Design Documents).
  • Perform physical inspections and basic teardown if needed.
  • Document test procedures, issue reports, and resolution findings in the customer toolchain.
  • Participate in customer meetings to present analysis results.
Requirements
  • Experience with CANalyzer / CANcase / Vector tools.
  • Knowledge of CDA and diagnostic frameworks.
  • Experience in electrical system debugging, basic wiring knowledge.
  • Ability to operate engine test benches and lab instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with INCA (ETAS) for data acquisition is a plus.
  • Understanding of vehicle electrical architecture and ECU communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in diagnostic engineering or electrical troubleshooting.
  • Previous exposure to OEM or Tier-1 diagnostic processes is a plus.
