Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer in Durham, NC for a hybrid, permanent role. The candidate will lead electrical design for complex building projects, from concept to construction, and coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers.

A PE license and 9+ years in AEC/building electrical design are required. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred; strong knowledge of codes, Revit/BIM, and QA/QC is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and active PE license required.
• 9+ years of AEC/building electrical design experience.
• Experience leading complex projects; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, design standards, Revit/BIM, and QA/QC.
• Strong technical leadership, project coordination, and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for medium to large building projects from concept through construction.
• Review designs, calculations, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and construction documents for quality and code compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Manage electrical scope, schedule, budget, and project deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership, QA/QC oversight, and mentorship to engineers and designers.
