Trail Ridge Power (TRP) works with national commercial and industrial real estate partners to create portfolio-wide energy transition solutions for their sustainability needs. We originate, design, develop, finance, own and operate renewable energy assets on a stand-alone basis but also in conjunction with energy efficiency technologies to help our partners reach their net-zero-carbon goals. These assets include solar generation, battery storage, fuel cells, building controls, and other cleantech offerings to provide on-premises or local generation solutions as well as a load control and curtailment. At Trail Ridge Power, the future of renewables is not just rooftop solar but looking at generation and consumption as inherently interconnected.

The Role: The Senior Director will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will manage and execute the process for debt and tax equity financings, with an emphasis on coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring thorough completion of all closing requirements. This position requires a seasoned professional with strong transaction management experience, particularly in managing complex financial closings

Qualified applicants in NYC, Boulder CO or Cambridge MA are preferred. The company will consider remote applicants within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end closing process for renewable energy financings through construction debt, term debt, sale-leaseback and partnership-flip transactions:
  • Develop, maintain, and drive comprehensive closing checklists, ensuring all required deliverables are properly tracked and obtained;
  • Review and organize due diligence materials prior to closing;
  • Identify omissions and deficiencies, coordinating with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, technical) and external parties (sellers, counsel, consultants) to remedy issues and facilitate efficient closings;
  • Manage timeline expectations and drive transactions to close on accelerated schedules while maintaining quality and thoroughness;
  • Establish and maintain effective processes for document management and closing coordination; and
  • Ensure clean transition post-closing with internal and external parties for efficient and effective project operations.

You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (master's degree preferred)
  • At least 7 years of in-depth experience with end-to-end renewable energy finance and tax equity transactions
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex financial and tax equity closings with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of legal documentation including purchase agreements, closing certificates, and corporate authorization documents
  • Outstanding project management capabilities with ability to drive multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong process management and organizational capabilities
  • Competitive pay with bonus eligibility
