Pacific Life is seeking an Investment Reporting Director to lead the Investment Reporting team in either Newport Beach, CA or Charlotte, NC. The role guides investment-related financial reporting, analytics, and executive reporting, including quarterly divisional results and Board materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Prior leadership experience in an accounting/reporting role a plus
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to coordinate complex deliverables across multiple systems with minimal direction
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate to problem solve

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 2-3 professionals responsible for investment and financial reporting activities
• Oversee the preparation, review, and delivery of quarterly divisional investment results packages and quarterly trends
• Direct preparation and review of GAAP disclosures and cash flow reporting for investments
• Lead the review of Board Investment & Finance committee materials
• Review and oversee investment reporting deliverables across the department
• Oversee submission of investment-related rating agency surveys, regulatory reporting, and external reporting
• Provide leadership on complex financial reporting and accounting matters
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ICFR activities
• Drive improvements to investment accounting and reporting processes
• Build relationships with peers and business units to align with business needs
