Sr Director Executive Compensation

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sr Director Executive Compensation leads executive compensation strategy, design, analysis, and administration for the Company. Additionally, this role oversees the compensation technology, process, and automation across the compensation function. The leader partners with the executive team, Finance, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Legal to align executive compensation programs with business priorities and regulatory requirements/disclosure. A key dimension of this role is championing the adoption of AI within the compensation function – identifying opportunities to apply AI-powered tools to program design and delivery, and helping shape how the team evolves its capabilities in an AI enabled environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES
- Lead the strategy, design, governance, and execution of Asurion's executive compensation programs, including base salary structures, annual incentives, and long term incentive programs, including equity.
- Partner with senior leaders to align compensation programs with business objectives, operational goals, values, and culture.
- Lead the ongoing evaluation, enhancement, and administration of executive compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
- Analyze market trends, compensation practices, and economic conditions to develop recommendations that support talent and business objectives.
- Partner closely with Enterprise Compensation to ensure efficient program delivery, administration, and governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Legal, and business leadership to solve complex compensation challenges and drive successful program implementation.
- Develop communication and education strategies that enable leaders and employees to understand and effectively leverage compensation programs.
- Oversee compensation tools, systems, and processes to improve data quality, efficiency, and employee experience.
- Lead executive compensation analyses and support the preparation of materials for Compensation Committee, Board, and executive leadership reviews.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Expertise in executive compensation benchmarking methodologies utilizing surveys and peer groups.
- Experience in driving management incentive design strategies that balance business objectives and best practices.
- Advanced incentive plan modeling and ROI evaluation.
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge for executive compensation in the United States and globally.
- Strong ability to leverage compensation technology systems and AI to deliver compensation processes through a complex, global environment.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including expert-level proficiency in Excel and experience building complex compensation models.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ years progressive compensation leadership experience.
- Experience leading executive compensation programs.
- People management of compensation teams.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree or MBA preferred. Experience leading compensation in private and public environments.
PREFERRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- CCP, CECP or equivalent professional certification.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads a team of compensation professionals. Provides coaching and performance management.
