Job summary

Arena Technical Resources seeks a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer in Sterling, VA to lead secure software delivery across CI/CD pipelines and cloud architectures. Active TS/SCI with CI clearance required; 10+ years of relevant experience and a STEM degree are essential.

Strong automation, scripting (Python/PowerShell/Groovy), and DevSecOps practices are expected. Experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, and security compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead secure software delivery across CI/CD pipelines and cloud architectures.
• Develop integration interfaces and automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Groovy).

• Document and communicate security requirements and controls.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to decompose tasks for Jira stories.

Job Title: Sr. DevSecOps Engineer

Job Location: Sterling, VA

Compensation: $210,000 - $225,000

Job Description

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

• We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field is required.

Specific Skills Include The Following

• At a minimum, meet DOD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
• Expertise working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
• (CI/CD), test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development
• projects
• Solid ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor
• Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
• Experience with Cloud architecture and system design (prefer AWS, but will consider Azure)
• Strong documentation skills
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies
• Ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories
• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy
• Experience and comfortability with Basic DevOps Tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP)
• Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes)
• Expertise with creating robust test plans
• Ability to quickly get familiar with customer system security requirements and processes
• Preparation and maintenance of system components
• Experience with API Gateways, catalogs

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) infrastructure and tools
• Experience with Cloud solution optimization
• Experience configuring and instrumenting Virtualization tools (Grafana, Splunk)
• Experience with ServiceNow

Other Cloud Experience (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM)

• Integration of virtualized applications and application streaming or layering techniques
• Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains
• SharePoint admin systems engineering experience
• IBM Enterprise Lifcycle Management systems engineering experience
• TeamWork Cloud/Cameo systems engineering experience
• Tableau systems engineering experience

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
