Job summary

Arena Technical Resources, LLC (ATR) seeks a Software Engineer in Sterling, VA with 7+ years of relevant experience and a STEM degree.

Candidate must hold an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance. Responsibilities include developing software for CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud-based designs, plus thorough testing and strong documentation in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in software development or security-focused engineering.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• Meet DOD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification).
• Experience developing software/scripts to support CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps.
• Strong software engineering rigor and system testing/validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and automation to support CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery.
• Contribute to cloud architecture and system design (prefer AWS; Azure considered).
• Create robust test plans and document technical processes and configurations.
• Decompose tasks for Jira user stories and maintain technical documentation.

Job Description

We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 7 years' relevant experience. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field is required.

Specific skills include the following:

• At a minimum, meet DOD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
• Expertise working developing software/scripting to support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects
• Solid ability to demonstrate solid software engineering rigor
• Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
• Experience with Cloud architecture and system design (prefer AWS, but will consider Azure)
• Strong documentation skills
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies
• Ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories
• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy
• Experience and comfortability with Basic DevOps Tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP)
• Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes)
• Expertise with creating robust test plans
• Ability to quickly get familiar with customer system security requirements and processes
• Preparation and maintenance of system componentsExperience with API Gateways, catalogs

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) infrastructure and tools
• Experience with Cloud solution optimization
• Experience configuring and instrumenting Virtualization tools (Grafana, Splunk)
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Other Cloud experience (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM)
• Integration of virtualized applications and application streaming or layering techniques
• Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains
• SharePoint admin systems engineering experience
• IBM Enterprise Lifcycle Management systems engineering experience
• TeamWork Cloud/Cameo systems engineering experience
• Tableau systems engineering experience

Education

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
