Job summary

Excyl, Inc. seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer for a long-term remote contract. You will drive containerization, microservices deployment, and robust CI/CD pipelines on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes, CodePipeline, and CloudFormation.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in Docker/Kubernetes, 10+ years in Java/REST services, and strong experience with Spring Boot and code quality tools. Remote work is supported, with confidentiality emphasized.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of containerization experience with Docker.
• 6+ years with Kubernetes and AWS container services.
• Java and REST service development with 10+ years experience.
• 6+ years with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Proficient with Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, and Jenkins in DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with SonarQube, Checkmarx for code quality.

Responsibilities

• Integrate AWS CodePipeline with ServiceNow APIs and related tooling.
• Integrate CodePipeline with Bitbucket APIs and related tooling.
• Build CICD pipelines using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CloudFormation.
• Develop infrastructure as code using CloudFormation in YAML/JSON.

DevOps Engineer | Long Term Contract | #REMOTE

SKILLSETS NEEDED:

• Significant development experience (6+ years) with containerization and Docker
• Container Orchestration skills (Example: Kubernetes, AWS ECS or AWS EKS 6+ years)
• Deep experience with Java programming (10+ years) and REST service development.
• Significant experience (6+ years) with microservice frameworks like Spring Boot
• Significant experience (6+ years) with DevOps tools (Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins)
• Experience (6+ years) with code quality tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx)
• Experience (6+ years) with CI-CD and blue-green deployments

TASKS WILL INCLUDE

• Integrate AWS codepipeline with ServiceNow APIs (Indepth knowledge of ServiceNow APIs is a must, JIRA/JIRA Align API skills can transfer, if candidate can learn fast)
• Integrate AWS codepipeline with BitBucket APIs (Indepth knowledge of BitBucket APIs is a must, Gitlab/Github/Git API skills can transfer, if candidate can learn fast)
• Build codepipeline, codedeploy and codebuild based CICD pipelines using AWS cloudformation (skills like Jenkins Groovy/Pipeline as Code, can transfer if candidate can learn fast)
• Develop infrastructure as Code using Cloud formation YAML/JSON (not python Boto3, candidate can transfer skills from Python, if candidate can learn fast)
