Job summary

Mindlance is seeking a DevOps Engineer to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy, Bash, and Python on AWS EKS and Kubernetes, while supporting deployments and automation across environments.

The role requires a BS in IT or CS and at least three years in DevOps or cloud engineering, with strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-team work. This is a remote contract-to-hire position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 3 years of software, DevOps, or cloud systems engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Jenkins and Groovy pipelines.
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for deployments in Test and Production.
• Develop automation scripts in Python and Groovy.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to improve scalability and reliability.
• Submit change management tickets and participate in CAB meetings.
• Monitor Linux/Windows production environments and support Kubernetes and Podman.

PURPOSE:

Implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support application deployments. DevOps and Support cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), EKS Kubernetes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

70% Installs, tunes, upgrades, troubleshoots, and maintains CI/CD pipelines, performs application release deployments in Test and Production environments. Write and maintain automation scripts in Python, Groovy to streamline operational processes and deployments. Collaborate with development and testing teams to enhance system scalability, performance, and reliability. Submit change management tickets, represent on the CAB calls.

30% Manage, monitor, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows-based production environments. Support container orchestration platforms such as Podman and Kubernetes and develop POC using AWS Services.

Must be able to be available for weekend support based on the application release deployments and maintenance activities.
