Job summary

Veracode in Burlington, NC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead DevOps initiatives, design scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

You will mentor engineers, manage Kubernetes (EKS), implement Terraform IaC, and drive automation while ensuring security and cost efficiency, with a focus on SOC2/FIPS compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Go).
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.

Required Skills: Must be eligible for FedRAMP certification 3-5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure automation. Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. Proficiency in CI/CD tools (ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD). Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Go, or similar). Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools. Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization strategies. Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul). Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps. Knowledge of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures. Exposure to FinOps principles and cloud cost governance.
