About the Role
Our client in the media and entertainment industry is seeking a Senior Data Operations Analyst to support a centralized content and campaign planning platform. This platform enables cross-functional leaders in marketing, publicity, programming, and related teams to make informed scheduling, campaign, and resourcing decisions.
This freelance role will help maintain accurate, reliable, and timely planning data by gathering updates from stakeholders, validating information with accountable owners, and translating unstructured inputs into organized records and actionable insights. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable with ambiguity, and trusted to handle sensitive pre-release information with discretion.
Responsibilities
- Attend recurring stakeholder meetings and capture key decisions, updates, action items, risks, and open questions.
- Convert meeting discussions, documents, and stakeholder inputs into structured, reliable data.
- Validate data with appropriate business owners before updating planning records.
- Maintain accurate records within established service-level expectations and data-quality standards.
- Identify stale information, conflicting inputs, missing details, and workflow gaps; elevate issues as needed.
- Manage requests from senior stakeholders, determining which updates can be completed directly and which require confirmation.
- Prepare clear weekly status updates, including priorities, risks, outstanding decisions, and data-health observations.
- Maintain confidentiality when working with embargoed projects, internal timelines, campaign plans, and other sensitive information.
- Document recurring process challenges and recommend practical improvements to workflows, tools, and data governance.
- Support the evolution of low-code workflow solutions used for campaign and content planning.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business operations, internal research, reporting, project coordination, or a related field.
- Experience in the media or entertainment industry, including familiarity with content portfolios, production or release timelines, campaign planning, or title-level data.
- Demonstrated ability to transform unstructured information from meetings, conversations, and documents into accurate, organized data.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data-quality checks.
- Experience using low-code or no-code tools and relational data concepts, including tables, linked records, formulas, filters, and views.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and reconcile competing inputs.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce concise notes, clear status updates, and actionable escalations.
- Proven ability to handle confidential, sensitive, or pre-release information with sound judgment and discretion.
- Highly proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in an evolving environment with changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Airtable, including formulas, views, interfaces, and workflow design.
- Experience with tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar workflow-management platforms.
- Background supporting marketing operations, creative operations, media planning, campaign planning, or content operations.
- Experience facilitating meetings, presenting data, or communicating recommendations to senior stakeholders.

- Conflicts, stale records, and missing information are identified early and resolved efficiently.
- Stakeholders have clear visibility into campaign, content, and operational updates.
- Process improvements reduce manual effort and strengthen long-term data quality.
