About the Role:

The Solutions Engineer identifies new client revenue opportunities, develops sales strategies, and supports infrastructure to assist sales efforts while delivering results.

Solutions engineers should be technology and solution advisors with experience in security domains such as Security Consulting, Managed Security Services, Incident Response, and Threat Detection. They act as solution consultants capable of discussing the security landscape, architectural models, and presenting credibly to senior client members. They provide subject matter expertise through workshops, pre-sales, consulting engagements, and lead solution design and deployment projects. Knowledge of solution design methodologies and artifact generation is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in sales calls and prospect visits, demonstrating products and aligning solutions with client needs
  • Utilize customer-centric selling techniques to drive revenue
  • Represent the company at trade shows and conferences
  • Work independently and as part of a sales team to develop business strategies
  • Ensure successful product evaluations and post-sale installations
About You:
  • 3+ years of pre-sales experience in at least two core domains
  • Strong leadership and expectation management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including engaging with senior executives
  • Hands-on technical knowledge in incident response, forensics, network, endpoint, or application security
  • 4+ years in consulting or sales engineering in relevant security areas
  • Experience with Microsoft Security Tools
  • Ability to build rapport with all levels of customers
  • Ability to demonstrate complex solutions live
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% annually
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant pre-sales experience
  • Location preference: Virginia
  • Federal government sector experience preferred
  • Experience with Intrusion Detection, SIEM, packet analysis, OS analysis
  • Knowledge of security technologies and standards such as CIS, ISO 2700x, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, PIPEDA, etc.
  • Certifications like CISSP, CISM, C|EH, CISA
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus
