The role combines hands-on full-stack development for fraud solution integration, API design, data pipelines, and AI-driven automation, with a focus on reducing shipper fraud and strengthening enterprise defenses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related degree, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
  • Four (4) years of experience in IT information security.
  • General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.

Responsibilities

  • Fraud Solutions Development & Integration: Lead integration of anti-fraud systems across enterprise tools, legacy platforms, and cloud services.
  • Application & API Development: Design web apps and REST/SOAP APIs to optimize processes with data and intelligence.
  • Shipper Fraud Remediation: Build customer-facing apps for shipper fraud remediation with secure UX.
  • Data Pipeline Engineering: Develop low-latency ETL pipelines for fraud detection.
  • AI-Driven Automation: Use AI tools to automate security processes and improve detection.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Operations, and Data Science teams.
  • Threat Analysis & Countermeasures: Investigate events and develop actionable mitigations.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior team members on best practices.

This position will be hybrid in: Memphis, TN / Plano, TX / Pittsburgh, PA. Candidates must live within a commutable distance from Memphis, Plano, or Pittsburgh to be eligible for this role. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.

Sr Cyber Security Analyst
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Information Security Organization to help address Fraud and Security risks. Under limited supervision, you will be responsible for creating cyber-intelligence solutions to prevent internal or external attacks and mitigate sophisticated fraud and security risks across company email, data, e-commerce, and web-based systems.

As a hands-on Full Stack Developer in fraud solution integration team, your primary focus will be on the development of advanced anti-fraud systems and integrating them seamlessly with other enterprise tools. You will implement technologies deployed across application, network/perimeter, data, endpoint, identity & access, and mobility domains. Acting as a bridge between high-level security architecture and technical implementation, you will ensure our defenses are robust, scalable, and effective against complex schemes like shipping fraud and account takeovers.

Key Responsibilities
Fraud Solutions Development & Integration

Drive the hands-on development of comprehensive anti-fraud systems, serving as the primary technical lead for integrating these new security capabilities across existing enterprise tools, legacy platforms, and cloud-native services.

Application & API Development

Design and develop web applications and REST/SOAP APIs to optimize business processes supported by data and intelligence. Maintain a quality-driven approach to ensure high application uptime and effectiveness.

Shipper Fraud Remediation

Design, build, and maintain customer-facing digital products and applications specifically aimed at shipper fraud remediation, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.

Data Pipeline Engineering

Develop and sustain robust, low-latency ETL pipelines from a wide variety of data sources in both streaming and batch modes to drive automated fraud detection.

AI-Driven Automation

Leverage Artificial Intelligence and modern automation tools to eliminate manual/repetitive security processes, streamline development workflows, and enhance the efficiency of fraud detection and response mechanisms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build strong working relationships across functional teams (Product, Operations, Data Science). Lead change with high energy and a strong focus on the mission to close operational loopholes exploited by fraudsters.

Threat Analysis & Countermeasures

Investigate security events and complex fraud vectors to develop actionable countermeasures, advising management on the business impact of systemic fraud or data alteration.

Mentorship

Guide and support junior team members, promoting best practices in software development, data engineering, and security.

Preferred Skills
Architecture & Design

Possess strong technical knowledge, including database architecture design and implementation experience.

Methodology

Hands-on experience working in an Agile & SAFe framework, with a strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.

Excellent communication skills

teamwork mindset, and the ability to innovate through modern technology.

Full-Stack Development

Strong, hands-on programming background required in Java, Spring Boot, Angular (or equivalent), REST/SOAP services, JMS, Kafka, and Unix/Linux environments.

Data Engineering

Proficiency in data engineering and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Big Query). Experience with Abinitio is a plus.

Cloud & Modernization

Understanding of cloud infrastructure engineering to drive innovation through modern, cloud-based technology. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a strong plus.

intelligent Automation

Experience utilizing AI technologies (e.g., AI coding assistants, Generative AI APIs, or intelligent workflow automation) to accelerate development cycles and automate complex business/security logic is a strong plus.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related degree, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.

Minimum Experience

Four (4) years of experience in IT information security.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current. starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors.

Pay

US pay range: $7,094.23 - $12,533.14 monthly
