Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a senior software engineer to provide leadership in coordinating system requirements, program specifications, and code/unit testing to meet business needs across significant projects.

You will mentor junior staff, lead resolution of complex production problems, and drive test planning and execution for system and integration tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field
• Five (5) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field, and/or equivalent formal.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Skill in one or more programming languages used by FedEx. Good communication skills.

Requires IBM operating systems or microprocessor experience.

LMS experience. Requires experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development, or case tools.

Knowledge of software engineering principles.

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
