Job summary

Jobot in Calabasas, CA is seeking a Sr. Custom Home Estimator to lead estimates for ground-up luxury homes and major remodels in Southern California.

You will leverage historical data, manage change orders, and deliver budgets that align with client expectations. This on-site role offers a base salary of $180k–$210k with a 10% bonus and approximately $15k in profit sharing, plus a 401(k) match, comprehensive health benefits, pension, and additional perks.

• 5+ years estimating luxury/custom SoCal homes (10,000+ SF) for general contractors.
• Prefer experience coming up through the field.
• Experience with high-end materials and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for new projects and change orders using historical data.
• Prepare docs/takeoffs/proposals and manage client/partner relationships.
• Analyze and control project/financial risks and perform value engineering.
• Coordinate handoff to PMs and draft initial schedules for budgets and scopes.

Job Details

• Lead new project/change orders estimates, RFPs using historical data, focus on mostly referred/negotiated work, hand off projects to PMs, initial schedules, create realistic budgets, and control costs/scopes
• Docs/takeoffs/proposals, client/partner/sub relationships, analyze/control project/financial risks, and value engineering
• Projects are high-end custom home ground-ups/full remodels that are $5M-$10M+ each in Thousand Oaks, Hidden Hills, Malibu, Beverly Hills, and Westside
• Will be working 100% in office in Calabasas

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Estimator at a general contractor on 10,000+ SF luxury/custom home projects in SoCal
• Prefer experience of coming up through the ranks from the field
• Skilled in Bluebeam for takeoffs as well as Procore
• Experienced with high end materials and finishes
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and client relation skills
