About The Role

The Senior Manager of Crisis Communications will lead CrowdStrike’s response to high-profile issues, developing and managing communications during all stages of internal and external crises. This role requires delivering transparent, clear messages tailored to diverse audiences. You will collaborate with internal teams—such as product, engineering, and customer-facing units—and external agency partners on a global scale. The ideal candidate possesses deep media landscape knowledge, experience with cyber incidents, and a proven track record of protecting corporate brands. You will work closely with experts across the organization and executive leadership to address challenging problems and make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do

  1. Lead Crisis Response: Develop and execute communication strategies for various situations, often under tight deadlines.
  2. Media Relations: Act as the main contact for media inquiries related to crises, engaging with reporters and editors.
  3. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Customer Success, and other teams to align on crisis communication strategies.
  4. Brand Protection: Create strategies to communicate effectively and safeguard our brand during high media attention periods.
  5. Content Creation: Draft statements, Q&As, and talking points to maintain transparency and manage public perception.
  6. Strategic Thinking: Maintain composure and navigate rapidly evolving situations with strategic and tactical insight.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience: 10-12 years in crisis communications, preferably in cybersecurity or security environments, with experience in global or federal cybersecurity contexts.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, incident response, and security research, with certifications like CISSP or CISM being advantageous.
  • Media Relations Skills: Proven ability to manage press inquiries, craft key messages, and communicate complex technical issues clearly and confidently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Successful experience working with diverse teams in a global organization.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.

Geographic preference: Based on the Pacific Time Zone.
