SR. CREDIT OFFICER- ENTERTAINMENT

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Participates in the loan management process by providing credit and loan underwriting expertise to the cash flow lending/leveraged finance group within Entertainment Banking. Analyzes prospective loan transactions and credit worthiness of borrowers. Validates the credit analysis prepared by the Credit Analysts and provides opinions and recommendations regarding proposed credit and potential risks. Ensures all due diligence and background evaluation is complete and thorough before Credit Risk Recommendation ("CRR") is submitted.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

1. Reviews loan requests, financial information, cash flow projections, and third-party reports; evaluates and determines credit structure and terms; fully underwrites CRR in accordance with Bank policies; analyzes industry data, risks, and mitigants; ensures the CRR contains a supported recommendation and accurate data.
2. Attends client meetings with Relationship Managers or Credit Managers to facilitate credit delivery and resolve issues. Contacts borrowers for additional information or clarification.
3. Provides balanced credit guidance and collaborates on credit strategy.
4. Offers credit alternatives and structuring ideas to ensure profitability and risk standards; authors credit approval memoranda.
5. Advises on loan pricing relative to risk, restructures loans as needed, and minimizes bank losses.
6. Performs quarterly problem loan reviews, monitors covenants, and initiates action plans. Identifies early problem loans and responds proactively to past dues.
7. Maintains knowledge of lending policies and regulations, consulting with Credit Managers as needed.
8. Coordinates loan documentation, works with legal counsel, and reviews collateral periodically.
9. Participates in training Credit Analysts in financial analysis, business writing, and valuation techniques.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Required Qualifications*

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of experience in underwriting medium-sized cash flow loans
• Minimum 8 years of experience in banking or financial services

Additional Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams, engaging effectively with all levels of personnel and external contacts
• Deep understanding of leveraged lending credit policies and principles
• Excellent credit analysis and accounting skills
• Proficiency in financial projections (income statement, cash flows, balance sheet)
• High Excel proficiency
• Preferred experience in entertainment industries
