Sammons Industrial, LLC in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is hiring a Senior Controls/Automation Engineer III to lead multiple projects from design to go-live. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with sales, project managers, and installation teams, and ensure integration of electrical, mechanical, and software systems.

The role requires 7+ years in controls engineering, with strong PLC/HMI and AutoCAD experience, and willingness to travel to customer sites.

• 7+ years in controls engineering, ideally in conveyor systems, material handling, or warehouse automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI systems, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with barcode scanning, high-speed sortation, scales, and labeling systems.
• Familiarity with WCS, WES, or WMS is a plus.
• Leadership mindset with a hands-on approach.

Your role will balance big-picture leadership with hands-on engineering. One day, you might be helping design a controls architecture or advising our sales team on a new opportunity. The next, you could be troubleshooting a system on-site, mentoring an engineer, or leading a customer through a successful go-live.
