  • Serve as SME on procurement policies and procedures.

Sr Contracts Specialist

Location

Role Overview

This position is responsible for the daily support of all sourcing and contracting activities, including managing the sourcing process (RFI or RFP), negotiation, and contracting through contract closeout. The role involves advising customers, leading proposal preparation, and managing a high volume of projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all sourcing and contracting activities, from leading Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) to contract closeout.
  • Manage a high volume of projects with defined turnaround parameters for all contract-related documents.
  • Lead negotiations of legal and commercial terms to ensure risk is properly controlled and mitigated.
  • Ensure all required terms and conditions are included in procurement documents and work with internal departments to resolve exceptions.
  • Build and maintain a detailed knowledge of essential legal provisions, contract common law, and dispute resolution.
  • Draft contract language, including special conditions for complex, non-standard purchases.
  • Identify and evaluate new sources of supply to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate the update of supplier information and required compliance documentation.
  • Resolve conflicts that arise during contract performance, including negotiating revisions.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on procurement policies and procedures for business partners.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Formal education or experience in contract language is preferred.

Experience: Experience in procurement or contracts is preferred.
