About the role

We are seeking a strategic and creative Senior Content Marketing Manager to take the lead in shaping our content strategy and driving high-impact storytelling. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end development of content that fuels brand awareness, demand generation, and engagement across the buyer journey, including thought leadership and conversion-ready assets across the buyer lifecycle. You’ll collaborate across teams to craft compelling narratives that resonate with all personas in our buying groups, from executive decision-makers to champions managing the day-to-day compliance work to the technical environmental compliance professionals.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content marketing strategies aligned with business goals
  • Lead the creation of both executive thought leadership and technical content that is high quality and engaging across various formats (blog posts, white papers, case studies, videos, podcasts, social media, presentations, awards)
  • Develop messaging and content-for-digital skills across channels like downloadable reports, blog, email, ad copy, landing pages, social executive briefs, etc., and knows how to use these tools to find the sweet spot between our target accounts' critical business issues and the solutions we provide
  • Establish editorial guidelines around brand voice and tone, develop and execute quarterly content calendars, and production timelines to ensure consistent publishing
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and design teams to create compelling content that showcases our value proposition
  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts to create on their behalf as well as influencing and supporting their own content creation
  • Work closely with product marketing to accurately represent product positioning, build content to support sales enablement, and deal progression across the customer lifecycle
  • Analyze content performance metrics and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Manage content activation & distribution across owned, earned, and paid channels
  • Stay current with content marketing trends, best practices, and competitive landscape
  • Mentor junior content team members and provide guidance on content creation
  • Manage relationships with freelancers, agencies, and other content partners as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS content marketing
  • 2+ years leading content strategy with hands-on execution
  • Proven track record of developing successful content strategies that drive measurable business outcomes and can be tied back to pipeline generation and or new bookings or expansion efforts.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • First-hand experience developing content for large, complex organizations and exeutive audiences.
  • Expertise in building and using SEO best practices and content optimization
  • Fluent in current and past content best practices and is able to use new age tools like ChatGPT or other AI tools to drive efficiency, speed, and predictability - able to build out own GPTs and effectively use AI as a writing partner/tool.
  • Masterful at balancing long-term vision with short-term momentum
  • Proficiency with content management systems (WordPress) and marketing automation tools (Marketo)
  • Understanding of analytics platforms and user engagement platforms (Google Analytics, HotJar )
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, Journalism, or related communications or marketing field
  • Experience working in early-stage growing companies
  • Environmental or regulatory experience is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Marketo, Salesforce, WordPress (a plus), Goldcast (a plus)
  • Must be proactive, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management abilities and attention to detail

In transparency, the pay for this position is $105,000-120,000/yr
