Job Overview

The Sr. Consumer Marketing Manager is responsible for igniting engagement with our base customers and consumers through communication strategies that drive digital adoption and engagement. The company aims to increase the use of the new T-Life app and encourage repeat visits. This role involves working cross-functionally to communicate product experiences and influence product development to enhance consumer satisfaction.

This position requires developing marketing strategies considering market dynamics, consumer behavior, competitive landscape, and company priorities. The manager will collaborate with teams such as Consumer and Market Intelligence, Product, Marketing, Program Management, Creative, and Operations to create and execute campaigns aligned with strategic goals. This role is ideal for someone with a creative, analytical, and innovative digital-first mindset, capable of identifying new opportunities and executing projects within a large, matrixed environment. Executive presence is essential for presenting opportunities and results to senior leadership. Prior experience in driving app adoption and engagement through marketing campaigns is required.

Available Roles and Locations

We currently have two Sr. Consumer Marketing Manager roles available: one focused on digital app adoption and the other on supporting T-Mobile’s commercial launches to existing customers. These roles are based in Bellevue, WA, and Overland Park, KS.

Work Environment

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement marketing plans targeting specific segments within the postpaid subscription base, analyzing customer insights and campaign performance.
  2. Formulate strategy and business rationale, including market, product, and brand fit, and own the product roadmap.
  3. Define target audiences, value propositions, and key messages; lead use case creation and prioritization.
  4. Use data analytics and insights to identify market opportunities and recommend strategic actions to senior leadership.
  5. Drive digital adoption and engagement, bringing innovative ideas to motivate consumers to revisit the T-Life app, and influence cross-functional teams for implementation.
  6. Exhibit strong communication skills, including presentation and written communication, with an executive presence.
  7. Lead and influence cross-functional teams to champion new concepts and strategies.
  8. Develop marketing strategies that enhance awareness, consideration, conversion, engagement, and retention; optimize campaigns for efficiency.
  9. Collaborate with product and go-to-market teams to ensure successful product launches and revenue growth.
  10. Manage email, SMS, push notifications, and owned marketing programs to engage customers throughout their lifecycle, including integration into paid marketing efforts.
  11. Adopt a consumer-centric approach, leveraging data-driven insights to craft personalized customer journeys and content, implementing targeting and retargeting strategies.
  12. Monitor business performance, track results, develop contingency plans, and iterate strategies in a competitive environment.
  13. Potentially lead and mentor less experienced team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Master's or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally in software/hardware, web, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or consumer packaged goods with a consumer-centric focus
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Details

Travel is rarely required. The base pay range is $109,300 - $197,200, with a 20% bonus target. Compensation varies based on location, qualifications, and experience.
