Duties, Responsibilities & Other

We are seeking to grow our construction engineering team in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. You will join our enthusiastic team in providing high-quality, complex engineering solutions to our clients.

Construction engineering involves design consulting services across various aspects of project delivery, including construction logistics planning, demolition and shoring design, means and methods, crane and hoist design, steel connections, and site observations. The ideal candidate will have a background in structural engineering design and experience working with contractors on projects in the construction phase.

We are interested in candidates with experience in permanent works design, temporary works design, and construction engineering. The right candidate will have at least 2 years of structural or construction engineering experience, be able to work independently, and possess creative problem-solving skills.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate directly with architects, contractors, and developers to develop structural solutions that address technical challenges in building and infrastructure construction.

• Perform structural analysis and design tasks in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures (permanent and temporary) following US design codes and standards.
• Design and prepare deliverables for multiple projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
• Use organizational and scheduling skills to track project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with teams to obtain permits, approvals, and clearances.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
• Maintain positive client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and exploring future opportunities.

Qualifications

Education and Skills Required: • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program. • Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Good communication and technical writing skills. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. • Ability to work collaboratively. • Strong problem-solving skills.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Required: • Ability to maintain required certifications.

Preferred: • Professional Engineer (PE) eligibility.
