Position: Construction Engineer

Responsibilities

• Join our growing construction engineering team in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, providing high-quality, complex engineering solutions.
• Perform design consulting services across project delivery aspects, including construction logistics, demolition, shoring design, means and methods, crane and hoist design, steel connections, and site observations.
• Work with contractors on projects in the construction phase, focusing on permanent works and temporary works design.
• Bring at least 2 years of structural or construction engineering experience, with the ability to work independently and solve problems creatively.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and developers to develop structural solutions for technical challenges.

Key Tasks

• Conduct structural analysis and design in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber (permanent and temporary) per US codes and standards.
• Design and prepare project deliverables, managing multiple projects within deadlines and budgets.
• Track project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and review plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Conduct site visits for assessments and compliance checks.
• Coordinate permits, approvals, and clearances.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
• Stay informed on industry trends and advancements.
• Maintain positive client relationships and identify future opportunities.

Qualifications

Education and Skills:

• Minimum 4 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with organizational skills.
• Teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Certificates and Licenses:

• Ability to maintain required certifications.
• PE eligibility preferred.
