Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events is seeking a Sr. Congress Manager- Association Lead to coordinate booth space, meeting rooms, sponsorships and symposia for medical congresses in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

You’ll partner with associations, internal teams and agencies to keep complex programs on track. This virtual role operates within US Eastern/Central hours, requires up to 50% travel, and demands prior lead-planner experience in pharma/congress events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a lead planner in pharma/congress corporate meetings and events is required.
• This role is virtual and will operate within Eastern/Central Standard business hours.

Responsibilities

• Managing medical congress, meetings, or association activities from planning through closeout in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.
• Keeping multiple deadlines, stakeholders, approvals, and deliverables on track without losing sight of the details.
• Building strong working relationships with healthcare or medical associations, internal teams, and agency partners.
• Turning complex congress information into clear, client-ready updates, recommendations, and next steps.
• Handling budgets, invoices, payment tracking, and documentation with accuracy in a structured, process-driven setting.

About the Role

If you love keeping complex events moving and details buttoned up, this Life Sciences role puts you right at the center of medical congress and association engagement. You’ll lead the coordination of booth space, meeting rooms, sponsorships, symposia, and key logistics in a highly regulated, deadline-driven environment. From association relationships to approvals, payments, and partner handoffs, you’ll help make sure every moving piece lands exactly where it should. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys structured planning, cross-functional collaboration, and work that supports impactful healthcare and medical initiatives.

You Might Also Have

• Experience supporting Life Sciences, pharma, or other healthcare-focused teams in a highly regulated environment
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach when priorities shift or risks pop up
• Confidence working independently while also collaborating across global or cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to elevate issues early with clear recommendations
• Comfort using Microsoft Office to manage trackers, documentation, presentations, and communication

You Should Know

• This role is virtual and will operate within Eastern / Central Standard business hours
• This role requires up to 50% travel annually, both international and domestic
• Previous experience as a lead planner within the pharmaceutical / congress corporate meetings and events space is required

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Sr. Congress Manager- Association Lead is between $65,000 - $85,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
