Sr. Civil Engineering Project Manager, PE

Tetra Tech is adding a Sr. Civil Engineering Project Manager, PE to our team based in Kansas City, MO.

The Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager will support our well-established clients with a variety of complex water and wastewater engineering projects in Oklahoma. If you’re an experienced Project Manager looking to apply your engineering and business development expertise towards solving highly unique challenges within Oklahoma and beyond, this is the role for you!

Your Role:

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact with our clients across Missouri. Lead business development efforts to plan and execute strategies for developing new or expanding existing opportunities with water and wastewater clients.
  2. Be the primary Project Manager for large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects involving water and wastewater treatment, pump stations, sewer replacement/rehabilitation, and water transmission and distribution mains.
  3. Become the go-to engineer for our clients, further deepening relationships with key local utilities that rely on us to solve their complex engineering challenges.
  4. Establish yourself as a technical leader in our Kansas City office, mentoring early-career engineers, scientists, and other consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required in Missouri or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • 5+ years of project management experience demonstrating ability to develop client relationships, pursue and win water and wastewater projects, and manage projects successfully.
  • 8+ years of progressive engineering experience as the “Engineer of Record” for related water or wastewater projects, with expertise in leading large, complex engineering designs.
  • Experience mentoring and leading younger engineering staff.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to develop effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work regularly in our Tulsa office, with support for flexible and hybrid work arrangements. Regular presence in Tulsa will be required based on business needs.
