Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to oversee planning, design, entitlement, and construction of various projects. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and will manage staff, consultants, and stakeholders. You will also provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to engineers, designers, and technicians.

Responsibilities

  1. Plan, design, and manage civil engineering projects such as land/site development, roads, water supply, sewer, and drainage systems.
  2. Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.
  3. Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies.
  4. Monitor project progress, quality, and performance; implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
  6. Serve as the primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Build positive stakeholder relationships, manage expectations, and provide regular project updates.
  8. Identify and mitigate risks; manage changes and resolve conflicts.
  9. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design drawings and provide technical support to field staff and contractors.
  10. Lead and motivate project teams, offering guidance, mentoring, and coaching.
  11. Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging communication and teamwork.
  12. Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, methods, and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in land development.
  • Proven success in delivering complex, large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and other engineering software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
